The Karlov Museum

Our Lady of the Snows Church

The church building is all-wood, nick-named the Wallachian Pearl. The church was built by the local carpenters and carvers – amateurs. The church is built in folk baroque style and has the plan in form of an isosceles cross.

Miloňová Observation Tower

the newly built wooden observation tower with a beautiful view of the Javorníky mountains and Velké Karlovice lies in the Miloňov valley(846 above sea level).
The observation tower is located 7.3 – 11 km from Grandhotel Tatra. One of the nice routes leads through the Miloňov valley –  turn off the main road to Miloňov and after about 1.2km turn right to the forest track Škaredica. After about 3km of a winding road, you will arrive at the junction and you arrive at the Observation Tower after about 1 km.
The second option leads from the Léskové valley
Galik Hotel, the road leads above the Galik Hotel ski slope. After about 3km, you will arrive at the junction to the Miloňová Observation Tower. You can ride a bike or walk.

Karlov lake

Originated probably through a landslide in the 16th or 17th century. Its origin is unclear, however, its mysterious atmosphere is surrounded by legends and stories. A fairy tale was written about this lake by Karel Jaromír Erben.
The Karlov lake is located in the Jezerné valley, 3.5km from Grandhotel Tatra.
